We see people using “stress” in general when they feel that everything looks like too much – when one is overloaded and he / she wonders whether we can really cope with the pressures situation prevailing upon us. Some consider is as over stimuli or lack of the same. If someone feels “too little” then that is depression or lethargy or maybe he lost his focus on state of affairs. Looking at the opposite if someone feels “too much” it leads to exhaustion or "burn out" or if it goes further, "nervous breakdown" might happen. Experiences people tell that yoga in Doha would lessen the stress. Yoga people believe that doing pranayama and asanas helps to strengthen our nervous system and that helps people to face situation of stress. Tension, of course, is not a modern occurrence. Old exercises in youga known as Sutras or the sage or Patanjali are all attributed to the causes of one or other type of mental affliction to the ego and spiritual ignorance or desire. This could also be hatred of others and more attachment to life too.

Technically they call it these "sorrows" or kleshas in their terminology.

What causes stress?

Though science and technology has reached new fronts and has been serving humanity in its own way.

People are called more civilized and modern but its approach and achievements have caused a lot of envy and competitiveness. There are financial tensions coupled with emotional upheavals and environment is all polluted. When all is filled with speed of events and uncontrollable happenings then the life is filled with stress.

These factors are important but these would strain human body leading to nervous tension effecting our minds negatively. In such circumstances, loneliness and isolation takes over as a natural consequence.

Some resort to artificial cure for handling stress in daily life. When they try to console like this, they are trapped by evils like substance abuse, destructive relationships and eating disorders as they are
desperate in their attitudes. But while such measures would provide temporary closing eyes or
distraction or even oblivion, the basic reason for their unhappiness known as “stress” is not addressed.

Yoga is not like a miracle to take one out of a situation but it helps to do that to some extent. The
modern life worries tone down our bio-reserves or energy, as we tend to draw on our vital energy from our store room – the nerve cell. This may, one day exhaust our energy reserves and that may lead to collapsing our mental as well as physical equilibrium.

As we practice yoga, we shift our outside to inside; we become more aware of this type of introversion and maintain our balance and stability.

The science of yoga says that our nerves control our unconscious mind. When the nervous system
becomes healthy and strong, the person having stress would address the situation more positively.

Doing Asanas improves blood flow to all body cells and revitalizes the nerve cells. This flow of blood gives strength to nervous system and helps it to endure stress.

About Relieving Stress

As per yoga science experts our diaphragm has very vital role in fighting adverse situations as it is the source of the intelligence of the heart and we may look towards our soul through this. As we face stress and when we inhale or exhale, this diaphragm becomes real stretched and does not change its shape.

When we exercise yoga, elasticity is developed in this diaphragm. When it is stretched it gives capacity to face any sort and amount of stress, may it be emotional or intellectual, or even physical.

Our muscles are also prone to stress to accumulate it. When the body does not move then lactic acid
accumulates. During our sleep at night, the body makes lactic acid causing feeling of stiffness upon
awaking in the morning. As we start moving, the body responds and stiffness fades away slowly. This is because of toxins that prevent our movement in the joints and our adjoining muscles that have small spaces and their circulation is stagnated. Therefore, some postures in yoga help stretching the muscles and expanding the joints. This way the blood circulation improves and body toxins are naturally drained away. There are very useful practices that demand  only a brief time to do are the movements of neck and head.

Yoga is a very effective therapy for increasing our immune system, helps building stamina as well as
giving strength of the various systems in our body.

In the eyes of yoga, generally speaking, mid is not everything, but yoga accepts that if we develop
awareness and concentration one cam really awaken our dormant potential that may be used for
developing and attaining success in life.

Those who practice asanas and pranayama, using yoga, can integrates the body, mind, breath, and our
intellect. With slow working and without  a real effort, exhalation during asana can bring wanted
serenity to our body cells. This helps relaxing our facial muscles, and tension is released from the organs of our perception, meaning thereby, the eyes, nose, ears, tongue and the skin. One of the  good starting point but  areal difficult one is to keep ourselves clean and sober and clean avoiding drugs and alcohol.

When all this would happen then our brain that remains in constant contact with body organs of action attains ‘shunya’, or void and stilling all human thoughts. This results in invading fears and anxieties that refuse to penetrate to our brain. When a yoga doer develops this unique ability, he becomes a better performer while doing daily chores with efficiency. The person does not dissipate his valuable bio-energy. He therefore, enters the state of true clarity of his intellect. This way his mind is all free of stress and he is filled with tranquility and calmness.

Once we relax, it is helpful support to our society and that leads to personal health and wellbeing, easing the body. When a body remains in a constant arousal state, it ultimately exhausts or we call it "diseased".
